    Duffy Creek loop.

With all the rain and likely muddy trails in the foothills and higher we drove out to Duffy Creek area today and hiked a nice loop. Beautiful moody skies and still tons of wildflowers, a lot you don't see in the foothills and Cascades. There was a little bushwhacking on primitive roads and cow trails but it's a nice hike.

We parked about 2 miles south of the main entrance and started at a road the BLM has recently improved that drops down to the old homestead area and then climbed a primitive jeep track to the main ridge road. We followed that to the end of the ridge and then to the canyon bottom. Then we hiked up the canyon. Lots of lupine, purple and white, buckwheat, pink bitterroot, wild onion(?). Various other desert wild flowers.
I guess this one turned out okay too
